The RAC Rescue Helicopter has released vision of a dramatic sea rescue off the coast of Cervantes on Wednesday afternoon.
A distress beacon was set off at around 4pm near the township of Grey at around 4pm and the Jurien Bay Volunteer Marine Rescue (VMR) and the RAC Rescue Helicopter coordinated with other emergency services to locate its source.
After about an hour of searching, a Royal Australian Air Force aircraft eventually spotted the three people in the water.
It is understood they were wearing lifejackets and had been “clinging to the hull” of the upturned boat for hours before emergency services arrived.
